Longridge Fell is interwoven with forestry tracks and smaller paths. Its a fantastic area for a stroll or a pedal. There's paths through the woods for rainy days and more open tracks when the weather is nice giving great views. From the summit ridge, the views to the North are fantastic. On a clear day its possible to see Snowdon to the West all the way round through Morecombe Bay, The lake District, Penygent and Pendle Hill to the East.
This Geocache can be reached from a carpark after a walk or cycle of around a mile and a half. The final section of track to the site can be a bit muddy, so decent shoes or boots are essential, especially after rain.
This magnificent Beech Tree is a little oasis surrounded by conifers. If you look closely in the branches you might catch a glimpse of a fairy or two.
