Nothing exemplifies the 2004 Red Sox championship season more than the Hall of Famer Bloody Sock (yes, the second Bloody Sock from Game 2 of the World Series is at Cooperstown). On October 19, 2004, Curt Schilling won Game 6 of the 2004 American League Championship Series against the New York Yankees. Notably, he won this game playing on an injured ankle for which the tendon sheath had just been surgically repaired, now known as the Schilling Tendon Procedure. The performance was repeated in his win in Game 2 of the World Series.
