This cache is part of the Red Sox geoart and is NOT at its posted coordinates. Please do not go there but instead, solve for the coordinates below. There is plenty of room near the cache to pull your car off the road safely but beware that during wet times, some wading may be necessary.
The cache is at N27° 3A.BCD W80° 48.471 where ABCD represents the year of Morgan Magic
At the All-Star break of year ABCD, the Red Sox were in fourth place, fired manager John McNamara and replaced him with Joe Morgan. Immediately the club won 12 games in a row, and 19 of 20 overall, to surge to the AL East title in what would be referred to as Morgan Magic.
But the magic was short-lived, as the team was swept by the Oakland Athletics in the ALCS. Ironically, the MVP of that Series was former Red Sox pitcher and Baseball Hall of Fame player Dennis Eckersley, who saved all four wins for Oakland.
