Welcome to another Team Shipwreck Wherigo Cache in the Coachella Valley. This is a Team Shipwreck collaboration by Admin Vicki, boxerboy211, IT Bukibear, nevadanick and shipwreck77 (the Three Cacheteers), and their faithful admins and teckies, without whose help these would not be possible.
The legwork required for researching the route of the 10 stages located in the Civic Center Park was completed by shipwreck77 and Admin Vicki.
Palm Desert Civic Center Park hours are Dawn to 11pm daily. There are 10 stages to this Whereigo and they are all located within the Civic Center Park boundaries. All stages can be completed after dark but plan accordingly. You really do not want to pay the fine for caching after the park is closed. Hours are clearly posted in a number of locations !!
The cache is not at the posted coordinates. In order to find it, you'll need to complete a Wherigo cartridge of the same name. Click HERE to go to the cartridge page on the Wherigo.com site.
Nine stages of this Whereigo will take you to statues and sculptures placed by the Palm Desert community art program called Art in Public Places. The final stage is a small container with a log and room for small swag. In the early stages you will find several water features and small lakes abundant with migratory birds and turtles.
