This magnetic nano cache is placed next to a beautiful, albeit run down, old scout hut on Wood Road, Shepperton. I've lived in this area for several years and have been able to find out absolutely nothing about the history of this old building - so if anyone out there knows something about it, please let me know, and I'll include the information in the description.
As promised, here's some more information on the scout hut, as provided by ChrisCBlobby:
"This building was originally built in the 1920's I think and was the Church hall for the nearby St Johns Church located in Watersplash road. The 1st Shepperton Green Scout Group was founded in 1953 and used the building as its headquarters for over 50 years before vacating it in the Autumn of 2005. I was a Cub Scout, a Scout and a Venture Scout with Shepperton Green bewteen 1983 and 1993 and thoroughly enjoyed my times there. I was also a helper at the Cub section between 2003 and 2006 which saw the group merge with 1st Halliford Sea Scouts to become 1st Charlton Air & Sea Scouts. They are still in existence and meet near the waste & recycling plant up between Charlton Village & Halliford".
There is ample street parking all around this area, and the cache is easily accessible from the pavement.
Happy hunting.
