This is the first Oak tree, I'd ever really encountered as a child, as me and my Grandmother kept coming up to this Oak near the hedge to stop and pick the ivy of from strangling the tree.  With my grandmother I first learnt to ride my bike from the top of the hill near crayke road down to Meadowfields Close at the end.  We always have called it 'The Lane' Where we meet many other dog walkers, maybe we will now meet a Geocacher or two. As it has brought several memories of our times back.  Please keep dogs on leads as there is a farm near by and also horses and geese. There is no right of way through the farm but if you go ferther along the lane towards Meadowfields there is a little opening where you can go over the fields and futher to the allotments beyond. One of my favourite walks.
