Start your recreation right here. Plenty of parking, this geocache is placed on the Hawkes Bay Cycle Trail at the end of Guppy Road. Perfect for dog walking, cycling, running, or bring your togs and swim in the river. Always busy in summer, a great place to bring the kids.
The area surrounding here is my dog's favourite place to be. Her and I have spent many hours along the Tutaekuri River, and my kids love to swim here in summer. Close to Taradale's polytec (EIT) and sports centre (Pettigrew Green), it has a student village alongside. The cycle path runs right along the river from the ocean to Puketapu and beyond, and there's loads of grassy, bushy area for the dog to run and sniff around. There's usually some fellow canines for her to say hi to!! Enjoy some peaceful time out while you're here. Cache contains only a logbook. Bring your own pen.
