Geocache Description:

There use to be a cache here of a regular size container. It was wiped out by a wildfire on July 15, 2013 that spread quickly while being pushed by strong winds. It quickly grew to 2000 acres and jumped Hwy 20 here and took out the old cache and leveled all the sagebrush and hiding places.

This cache is placed by the historical marker of The Curtis Sheep Slaughter, whre AA Curtis owned the first sheep ranch in Okanogan county. On this area in 1903 the cattleman who were not use to sharing their rangeland slaughtered several hundred sheep with clubs. A grizzly thought.

Lots of parking area for this cache.
