Geocache Description:

On the edge of the historic Kennedy Space Center rests this amazing piece of americana.  RESOLUTION! A monument of hard work and devotion by a student/space enthusiast.  Built in California, it traversed the continent and arrived at KSC as the Discovery returned America to space after the Columbia disaster.  It now stands silent vigil at the southern gateway to America's Space Frontier.  Like a piece of americana on Route 66.

Just off SR-3 is this amazing site. A space shuttle model turned monument built by Chuck Ryan, a college student and space enthusiast.  What started out as a flight simulator turned to a 15ton detailed shuttle mock up.  This obscure and little know piece of americana quietly and discretely stands against time and the elements as tourists and space team members pass by.

This cache invites one and all to stop and admire the hard work and devotion by Chuck and a handfull of volunteers.  Since RESOULUTION! never found a true, deserving home, it stoically sits on this site.  The cache overlooks RESOLUTION! and is of nice size. (GREAT Tb hotel)  Stopping and parking is easy, but finding it may take a bit of "E.V.A.".  It should be quick, but the more time you spend here, the more you will remember this amazing piece of lost americana and the space shuttle program. Hopefully your visit here will lead you to explore online about RESOLUTION!  Congratulations RamenNoodles FTF!
