Geocache Description:

As we approach the 15th anniversary of Geocaching I thought it would be nice to place a challenge cache to celebrate the event.

10 Caches in 2010 Challenge by Troutpro inspired this Challenge Cache. I thought for the 15th anniversary I would raise the stakes a bit. To claim a find on this cache you need to record a find for each year from 2000-2015. That is a total of 16 finds. Of course that would be too straight forward.

Here are the full posting requirements:

1) You must find 16 geocaches; one geocache that was hidden in each year of geocaching from 2000-2015
1a) Since it would be impossible for a geocacher to complete this challenge who did not have 2 Event type caches or unusual caches like "Locationless" ... prior to 2015 without a trip to Seattle, I'm loosening up the requirements a bit. To meet the 10 icon requirement you may include two form the list of Event, Mega Event, Giga Event, CITO or Lab Cache after 2015, but they may not be Attended or Found during the same calendar year.
2) Ten different icons must be represented
3) No icon can appear more than 2 times
4) Include in your log the GC code; Cache name; Date hidden; Date found
5) You may sign the log at any time but you must post your list of qualifying caches before claiming your find

First to find will be awarded to the first person to complete the basic challenge. FTF will also be acknowledged to the first person (if anybody) who completes this challenge using 16 different icons.

It is possible for geocachers who started caching in 2014 or before to complete the basic challenge while staying within a 50-100 mile radius of Davis. This Challenge will become progressively more difficult as time goes by so I gave a difficulty rating of 4.5. There is a webcam in Sacramento and a few in the Bay area. There are year 2001 Multi and Mystery caches in Sacramento and even a year 2000 Multi if you travel to San Mateo so you don't need to worry about needing to use your allotted two Traditional Geocaches for the first two years. Those who have attended a Mega or Giga Event found an APE Cache or visited Seattle have lots of options on how to complete this challenge.

Have fun! Relive old adventures or use this challenge to inspire new ones!
