Geocache Description:

This is a replay of the event from Sept 2014 which was rained off, but well attended, we managed the 30mins but not much more..

Its another CITO event wekend so lets do it. But this one is a little different, when ZorkV left Auckland they put on a farewell event, so with thanks to Team Welsh for the So long to to ZorkV event, lets do a real Naki welcome event for him.

So from that Auckland event:

ZorkV is one of the true gentleman of geocaching and has been known to help out many of us who have been lucky enough to meet him. Let's send Zork off with a real Zork size event. (camo gear optional but would be great)

If we could all bring along some Travel Bugs or Coins to be discovered or dropped off that would be fantastic as ZorkV has always had a passion for these and hopefully he will bring along some of his amazing collection.

So back to the Park;

Often described as the jewel in New Plymouth's crown, Pukekura Park covers 52ha (128 acres) right in the heart of the city and is one of New Zealand's premier botanical gardens. The park has an international Green Flag award and is a Garden of National Significance.

With a diverse range of landscapes, the park features bush walks, formal gardens, lakes, children’s play areas, a sports area and a Tea House. Its also a dog on-lease area and a great place to spend a spring Sunday afternoon.

Come and join in for a hour, bring your pooch, the kids and the rest of the family, make an afternoon of it. Bring gloves, a sharp stick and fill a supplied rubbish bag, have a coffee and a natter with some welcoming geocaching buddies while you help the environment, swap stoies and trackables. The man with the small white dog and a GPS is the one to look out for; Blenheim Bear would be your host, see you on site from 1pm onwards... don't forget to sign the log.
