Regardless of how you prefer to phrase it, I am confident this section of the Spirit Trail will suspend your disbelief that anyone would build such a cool bridge here! Just keep in mind that because this is a multi-cache, the final cache container is not at the posted coordinates.
Could I suspend it right in the middle, maybe with some form of filament that is not easily visible? Unlikely, because the movements of the bridge would probably shake it loose.
Could I hide it just off the western end of the bridge where there are some logs and rocks? Solid thinking, but where could I possibly place it so cachers wouldn't need to leave the trail or disturb any vegetation?
Could I hide it at the eastern end of the bridge? That's a lot of stairs, and I'm beginning to reach the end of my rope! Take a look there yourself and tell me if you see an accessible hiding place that a muggle wouldn't spot in a second.
Could I go so far as to hide it near the other bridge, located about 60m to the west? It has even more stairs, 35 in total. Unbelievable - I'd be out of breath about halfway up! But I ask you again, where would I stick something on a stairway so it is safe from muggles?
You do not need to, nor should you ever leave the trail, the bridge deck, or the stairs to find any of the stages of this cache, including the final (Umm, you might need to take a couple of steps off the trail to grab the final
). Aside from an open mind and sharp geosenses, no special tools are required for any of the stages. Well, maybe a compass would be useful to tell east from west (remember, north is red).
Oh, by the way, you might notice an old trail, just a narrow rough pathway, down below the bridge and be tempted to try looking down there, but you would be wrong. The rules of geocaching do not permit a cache to be hidden beneath a bridge of any kind so don't even try.
Sorry I can't be more helpful, but you are on your own for this one. I gave it a difficulty rating of 4 stars instead of 5 to give you hope that you might be able to figure it out alone. Don't hesitate to email me when you want more help.
Good luck and have fun playing on the bridge!
