Geocache Description:

If you would like to know how far it is around a circle compared to how far across, then "pi" is the number you want.  Pi is the symbol or number used in math to represent the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter...approximately 3.14159.  Pi never ends and never repeats, and it has been calculated to over 1 trillion digits beyond its decimal point!

Come celebrate a once in a lifetime experience when the date and time, 3/14/15 at 9:26:53 AM, are a sequential match to Pi!!!  The Alice Baker Memorial Library in the Village of Eagle is hosting a Pi Day at the above mentioned day and time.  The free event will include stories, games, crafts, and fun for everyone.  The Teen Library Council will be selling slices of pie...yum!  This cache was intended to be part of my first event, but since I didn't create it soon enough, it will now just be a cache.  The container is small, and you will need to bring your own writing utensil and possibly a tweezer to remove the log sheet easier.  From 9:26AM until 10:30AM, I will be at the Pi Day event with a larger container of caching prizes to choose from.  I will also treat the FTF cacher to a slice of pie! The first stage of this cache is inside of the library, so you need to search during library hours (usually 9AM to 8PM Monday through Thursday and 9AM to 4PM on Fridays and 9AM to 1PM on Saturdays...closed on Sundays). Go to the cookbook section in the adult books area (hint...numbers on book spines start with 641) and find a book that might contain a recipe for PIE...you will then find coordinates for the final located outside, but still on property.  Permission from the the library and the Village of Eagle to place this cache.
