Geocache Description:

The river Usk sources from the Black Mountains of Mid Wales. It flows through the Brecon Beacons to Newport and into the Severn estuary at Uskmouth. It is 63 miles long. You will see a lovely river bridge that was built in the 16th Century and is a listed grade II. The bridge does have a 7ft width restriction so only available for smaller vehicles. Parking is available at the village shop (Walnut Tree Stores) and the footpath is down the side of the shop and through the gate. The path runs along the river and ends by some steps which lead up to a lane, turn right the lane and comes out by some locks along the Brecon and Monmouthshire canal. Turn left and return to the shop. Unfortunately the cache is inaccessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs and also when the river is in full flood. Congratulations to SidAndBob - FTF
