Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small camoed container with only a log inside. Please bring your own writing stick. There is a laneway off the highway to park on.

What is this place? A maze? A crowd control, marshaling area? A flood baffle? It is actually the water supply for the town of Conquest. Underneath all that orange snow fencing are six sandpoint wells connected to an underground pipe which takes the water into town. When it was originally built the engineers thought that the fencing would trap snow in winter and keep the water level high in the aquifer. As it turned out, the sandpoint wells have plenty of water all on their own and the fencing isn't required. It has fallen into disrepair and nature seems to be reclaiming it now.
