Geocache Description:

Number 4 in my Rail Fan Series. Nice view of Sunset Station from this cache.  One of my favorite train stations and one of the nicest in the southern US.

Sunset Station was built by the Southern Pacific Railraod in 1920.  The architect was Southern Pacific's Daniel J Patterson.  A Southern Pacific Baldwin 2-8-2 is also visible from the point as well and can be viewed more closely if you desire.  The station underwent an amazing restoration and now serves as an entertainment venue.  Amtak moved its operation to a building next to the station and to the rear toward the Alamodome.  A beautifully restored station as is much of this gaslight area of town.  Worth a visit.

I attempted to make this cache easy to find considering the heavy muggle activity.  After 8:00 pm it is quiter on most nights during the week.  See hints if you want more help being stealthy.  Good Luck.

Congrats to Elvis is King for FTF. That was mighty quick.
