This is a simple offset multi to highlight this impressive memorial that was originally erected to commemorate soldiers who died in the Boer War.  They fought "For the Empire".  Lest we Forget!

This memorial was erected in 190A

The Boer War started in 189B

The number imprinted on the top of the gun is 18C6

On the side of the gun the imprinted number is 339D

Private Frederick Jeffreys died at Pine Town on 1 May 190E

Private Louis Bond was killed at Wilmansrust on 12 June 190F

GZ is at S36 48.FCE and E145 25.(B-D)(A+5)(C+F)

The container is a small, square clip-top container containing log book and pencil but please bring your own PEN just in case.  No signature and the on-line log will be deleted.
