He enlisted the aid of an attorney friend, and placed the money in an irrevocable trust that wouldn't be opened until July 2, 2015 .
The money will be given to whomever shows up on the appointed date with a secret password - conveniently hidden in a geocache.
To find the cache, and claim the prize, all you need to do is go to the following coordinates:

North coordinates: the sum Jack stole. West coordinate: what that sum will be worth when the trust expires.
