Geocache Description:

An emblematic and beautiful place in Merida that you can not miss.

The Roman aqueduct "The Miracles" of the first century, was one of four that supplied water to the city of Mérida. This brought water from Proserpine Lake, and had a length of about 12 kilometers. In the aqueduct, the arches extend about 830 meters with a maximum height of 25 meters in the deepest part of the river valley Albarregas. The name of "The Miracles" is due to that the inhabitants of Merida considered a miracle that the pillars were preserved so many years.
