The foundation walls are all that remains of an old church within Templecormac, a Townland within the Parish of Ballinderry. The church is believed to have been demolished on the orders of Oliver Cromwell.
A section of the interior of the church's foundation walls is now a graveyard although with mixed denominations is largely made up of Roman Catholic plots. There are large trees of various species taking centre stage within the graveyard.
The townland of Templecormac is was previously called Cormac's Temple as it is believed to have been founded by a Cormac Akilly. There is believed to have been a former temple situated within the townland boundary for the education of students superintended by 3 friars.
