I recently moved back into this neighbourhood, and noticed a distinct lack of nearby Geocaches! I knew right away that this would make a great spot for a new hide.
Doan Cemetery is a small, older cemetery in rural Port Colborne. It is a designated United Empire Loyalist Burial Site. While you are here, you should look through the cemetery -- this and other small plaques tell you more about some of the people who were buried here more than a century ago.
As you will see when you arrive, cedar trees abound in this area. If you are driving, please park on the side of the road in front of the cemetery. The nearby driveways and parking lot are all private property. Also, please no night caching. While it is not gated, the cemetery should only be visited during daylight hours.
