Geocache Description:

This is not a linked set of caches, just a series of unrelated drive-bys out on country roads. At some locations it is impossible to pull off the road but there is plenty of visibility at these sites.

Polish cryptologists were first to crack German military Enigma ciphers. Like other rotor machines, the Enigma machine is a combination of mechanical and electrical subsystems. U-boats used the enigma code to communicate in the  North Atlantic during the war. German procedural flaws, mistakes and laziness contributed to the Allied cryptologists success.
