Geocache Description:

This once secret area is now open to everyone. The Olympic bike track  now meanders up and down the hillsides in these here parts. Sit under my beautiful lookout tree and take in the tranquility, wildlife and fabulous views. I have another 14 caches in this area to find all with beautiful views and all different cache types.

I also have another six in the Southwold area of Suffolk and my Wife Polly Styrene has GCZ173R, The Most Remote Cache In Essex.

At last, the hills are alive with the sound of plastic. This cache is placed at the very tree that I sit under to observe the wildlife of this once secret valley that has been out of bounds since WW2.

I've been sitting  in this lofty 162 ft ASL vantage point weekly for twenty plus years and never ever seen another soul, I think only part of the farm  and Hadleigh castle are the only two structures in sight. The Thames estuary flows to the east  and this high spot commands wonderful uninterrupted views of the whole area obviously why it was chosen for 4 AA guns in the war.

Please sit under my lookout and stay as long as you have time for and take in the ambience but if you see me you will have to budge up a bit. FIRST TO FIND KATIE & BRAN WELL DONE.
