Do you stop on the way in? Or on the way out? Stop for the P & G as a warm-up before you start the long hike through the woods? Or one last triumph after your legs are dead tired?
Kill Creek Park is a Johnson County Parks & Recreation District park located in western Johnson County between De Soto and Olathe. The main entrance is located near 116th and Homestead Lane. To get to the park, get off of Kansas Highway 10 at the Kill Creek exit and proceed south to 115th Street. Turn right and go to Homestead Lane. Take a left onto Homestead and the park entrance is on the right near the crest of the first hill.
Park hours are 5am to 11pm for March through October and 7:30am to 8pm for November through February.
No thorns or PI or snakes to contend with here. Wouldn't think there would be any ticks, either, but absolutely no guarantees when it comes to those little suckers in this park.
