Balmoral is the gateway to Rocklands Reservoir - an extremely popular location for bush camping, fishing and watersports.  Rocklands is renowned as the best redfin fishing in Victoria with trout also in good supply. Boat ramps are located at various points around the reservoir as well as camping, barbeque and picnic facilities, provisions for caravans and many bush walking trails.

Early in 2015 the bush camping sites around Rocklands were evacuated after lightning started fires in the area.

If you're travelling during the bush fire season, you could be affected by a fire. Make sure you have all the information that will keep you safe. The Fire Danger Rating sign shows how dangerous it will be if a fire should start.

Bring your own pen. There is no room for swaps. When replacing log, roll up and place in lid, then place lid on container - that makes it easier to get it out next time 😇.
