Geocache Description:

This puzzle cache will take you on a short walk around the historic site of Lindow Common. A site of special scientific interest (SSSI) important for fauna and flora but infamous for the discovery of the body nicknamed Pete Marsh!

In 1984 the body of Lindow Man was found here in the Moss. The 2000 year old body is now based in the British Museum but does go on tour occasionally. I remember taking the children to see him in Manchester Museum. Was he a murder victim? Was he a human sacrifice?  If you want to know more follow the link.
