Kobe was handling 80% of Japan's pearl trade before WW2. After WW2, in 1952, Japan pearl hall was built aiming at becoming the center of world pearl trade.
Now this building is registered as a national cultural asset, and its first floor is open to public as Kobe Pearl Museum. But it is decrepit and will be replaced in the near future. Please come and see this historical building while it remains.
Kobe Pearl Museum is open from 10:00 to 17:00 on weekdays. Closed on Saturday, Sunday and Holiday. Free of charge. The cache is placed outside the museum and accessible anytime.

戦後、日本が世界の真珠取引の中心となるべくして1952年この場所に日本真珠会館が建てられました。現在この建物は有形登録文化財として指定されており、1階は神戸パールミュージアムとして一般公開されています。
しかし建物の老朽化が進んでおり、近い将来の建て替えが決定しています。今のうちにこの歴史ある建物を見ておいて下さい。
神戸パールミュージアムは平日の10:00～17:00に見学できます。入場料は無料です。
