Kou-Yama (532.8m) is,consists of gabbro comprised of this solidified cold magma in 1500 before.
Rockｓ with a strong magnetic force has scattered the summit.
From the summit, you can overlook the stunning views, such as the islands of the Sea of Japan, and the Chugoku Mountains.

　

◇ You can go by car to near the summit.
(attention)The peripheral cache grows grass with thorns.Be careful!

須佐湾北東にそびえる高山（こうやま/標高532.8m）は、1500年前にマグマが冷え固まってできた斑れい岩からなります。
頂上はやや広く、斑れい岩の岩塊がいたるところに散らばっています。
そして、山頂付近一帯には磁力の強力な岩石が散在しています。
この珍しい岩石は古くから磁石石として名高く、磁針の方向を変えさせることで知られており、国の天然記念物に指定されています。

　

また、山頂からの展望は雄大で、萩市の六島をはじめ、長門市の青海島・向津具半島、中国山地を一望できます。

　

◇山頂付近まで車で行くことができます。
