From the above coordinates you get a great view of the 281 foot spire of St Elphin's, 2.3 miles to the North. This is the third tallest spire of any parish church in the country - built in the 1850's by Rector William Quekett, it dominates the Warrington skyline. This gave the church a visible presence to rival and rise above the teeming industry all around.
