Established by Dr Thomas Fiaschi in 1882 when Fiaschi purchased land from the Kirwan family. The initial plantings of 5 acres of grapes were so successful that by 1889 a total of 55 acres was under vineyard. The historic building was finished in 1887 and comprised both living quarters and functional cellar.
An award winning vineyard, wine was sold through the Fiaschi Wine Bar in Sydney as well as being exported to Bristol in the UK under the name of the Hawkesbury Wine Company.
Operations continued up until the early 1950s when the building was semi locked up. It was during this period in October 1955 that the building was broken into by vandals and set on fire. The ruins were purchased by current owners Peter and Carolyn Auld who have lovingly restored the building and vineyard operation, reflecting the historic links to the past.
