This cache has been placed with permission from The Forestry Commission, Cowal & Trossachs Forest District. Please respect the surrounding area.
This is the first cache on the trail that follows a river path that eventually takes you to the forest track. The cache is small but not big enough for swaps or TBs.
The walk is approximately 12 miles (18km) in total which has 11 geocaches placed around the loop to aid navigation along the tracks. The first 8 miles are on a forest 4x4 tracks and is ideal for those who like to mountain bike. The final 4 miles are on a well worn track that is part of the Three Lochs Way.
The loop should be done in numerical order either from 1 to 11 or vice versa (1-11 easiest). At cache 6, the maximum height gained is 1041ft which is the 5.5 mile mark (gentle continuous incline) which makes it an ideal place for a picnic in the view of three magestic Munro's (Ben Vane, Ben Ime and Beinn Narnain).
When placing the caches the walk took me 4.5 hours including a 30 minute lunch break.
Good luck and happy caching,
Kevswfc & Braddaz
