Geocache Description:

There has not been a poker run in this area for many years so we decided to give it a try this year. This event will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2015.

Our plan is to have participants pick up the poker run instructions and a list of ten caches at the event coordinates between 8:00-10:00 am EST. This is not a timed event, so participants will be able to explore Tallahassee to find their caches and collect their cards until 3:00 pm. They will return to the event coordinates where they will share lunch with the dealer and other cachers. We ask that you bring a side dish and we will provide cold cuts and breads for sandwiches. At 4:00 pm the dealer will reveal the results of the winning hands. There will be hiking, riding and adventure for all who are up for the challenge. You can work this as a group, but prizes will be awarded on an individual basis. If you do not want to participate in the poker run, you are welcome to come and have lunch with us. Please post your WILL ATTEND and the number of people in your group so that we can ensure we have sufficient supplies. The event will go on rain or shine and end at 4:30pm.

The lunch at 3:00pm is at the San Luis Park and the difficulty and terrain are 1's. There are restrooms available.

The poker run will consist of ten caches which may require a bit of hiking and will have a range of difficulty and terrain.

If you are doing the poker run :

As usual, please re-hide as you found it. The cache should not be visible to passers by. Please latch the ammo can tight before re-hiding.

It is very wooded and mosquitoes are abundant. You will want to spray down before going out on the trail. Also watch out for snakes, spiders, ants, poison ivy as well as thorny vines and bushes. You may want to wear long pants and hiking boots.

You will need to bring a pen or pencil to sign the log with.
