I've brought you here for the lovely views, now it's payback time. Whilst the lay-by provides plenty of parking and easy access to the cache, there is one major problem. LITTER!!!
Whenever I park here I am dismayed by the rubbish that people leave. If you are lucky you might find enough coffee cups still with their label on to be able to peel them off and go and claim a free coffee. The day I placed the cache was the worst ever. Someone had been fly tipping. Leaving chopped down conifers is one thing, but as the photo shows, this was blatant fly tipping, boots and all!
I consider this to be the sneakiest cache I've placed. I will warn you now, it isn't an easy find even though it is just a short walk from the lay-by. No doubt future logs will cause me to eat my words. Whilst it isn't a prerequisite, just imagine how much better this location would be if everyone that went to look for the cache, gathered up a few pieces of litter to dispose of properly on their way home. You don't have to take unnecessary risks, just gather enough to make a difference.
Not quite a CITO event, but it is intended to be a cache with a purpose and I hope you enjoy the views which are even better when you take a flask of coffee.
Congratulations on the ftf Tessa. You have no idea what I had to to to guarantee decent weather! With a bit of luck I will be on for number 2000 as well next weekend.
