While out enjoying the countryside, made a visit to Canerio, Kansas - checked and no active caches, so found just the place - the old school in Canerio - this school is where PaD's mother taught many years ago before she was married, so thought it was worthy of a cache. The cache is a walk-up to cache, so no need to cross any fences or tresspass on any property. Just admire the school from the road as we are not sure if people are able to go up to it, and certainly wouldn't want anyone to get in trouble.
While there, I googled the town of Canerio, KS and there is a pretty neat article you can read about the history of this almost extinct town (I think they called it a ghost town in the article) - the article is well worth reading.
