Remember Daniel? The interviewer from Interview With the Vampire? His tale was far from done at the end of the movie. It was not Lestat, but Armand that got close to Daniel. Daniel wanted the blood so much. He was ruined by the truth of the immortality that existed, but that was denied him by Armand. Faced with watching him die or bringing him over, Armand eventually gave Daniel the dark blood. And he is one of the strangest vampires around, to be sure. Go, train, go.

Bit of trivia to go with your cache: River Phoenix was originally cast to play Daniel. He passed away partway into filming and his part was recast to Christian Slater, who donated his $250,000 salary for the role to 2 of River Phoenix's favorite charities.
