Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Ebenezer Geo-Quest!

The purpose of the Ebenezer Geo-Quest (or EG-Q) is to show you some of the sights, history and scenery of this secluded part of the Hawkesbury.

This is one in a series of EG-Q caches; hope you enjoy the rural setting.

Named after Viscount Sackville the area was first settled in 1803. Sackville is divided by the Hawkesbury River with the area north of the river known as Sackville North and the southern side as Sackville and Sackville Reach.

Standing at the lookout you are overlooking Sackville North on the opposite bank. Of particular interest is that the Hawkesbury River changes course with a 180 degree bend in this stretch, effectively turning back on itself. To the left is Kent Reach and to the right is Sackville Reach. Sackville Ferry can be seen crossing the river at the southern end of Sackville Reach.

For the EG-Q#25: Final Puzzle - how many concrete picnic tables are there at the lookout?
