This is the sixth in a new series of caches at the West end of Nailsea. They are placed along and around the public footpaths of North Drove Rhyne and Parish Brook and can form a nice circular walk.
This cache wants to collect Geographical Curios. Upon being published it contained a magnet from Ben Nevis and a shell from Lyme Regis, representing the North and South of the UK. If you can, please place your own Geographical curio inside to help create a collection for other visitors to discover. Please do not take/swap the curios. There are a few 'Geography stickers' inside. Feel free to take one. I have more to replace when they run out. If you have children with you there are also a few other small swaps inside so they don't miss out. Upon being publised these were a soldier, car, bracelet, stamp and whistle. As a rule of thumb, if it looks Geographical leave it in the cache!
These footpaths can get muddy and wet (lots of puddles) after rain so avoid your best shoes. Care should also be taken as there are rhynes on both sides of the footpath. You can park at the junction of Hanham Way/Watery Lane in the layby next to the public footpath. Lovely views in all directions and a nice quiet path. The area is actually part of the Tickenham, Nailsea and Kenn Moors Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) so please take care not to stray off the footpath, or damage any flora and fauna in the area. Many thanks to Natural England for giving permission for the cache to be placed in a SSSI.
