USHUAIA MIRADA DE ARRIBA (TB HOTEL)
La ubicación del caché ESTABA en un terreno baldío debajo de la carretera que conduce al Aeropuerto Internacional Malvinas Argentina durante casi 10 años y luego se convirtió en un sitio de construcción y se volvió inaccesible.
En noviembre de 2024, lometogo dejó un caché de reemplazo (una bolsa ziplock con papel de registro) cerca de la cerca que rodea el estacionamiento en el primer poste desde la esquina en la esquina derecha mirando hacia las montañas y he actualizado las coordenadas. Sin esta amable intervención, habría un caché menos en esta parte remota pero hermosa del mundo. El sitio del caché todavía está a unos 28 metros sobre el nivel del mar y tiene excelentes vistas de la ciudad de Ushuaia, pero algunas de las fotos ya no son relevantes. Lamentablemente, este contenedor se perdió y estoy agradecido con TmGrandemotte por colocar una bolsa sellada en marzo de 2025 para mantener el caché funcionando un poco más.

USHUAIA OVERLOOKED (TB HOTEL)
The cache location WAS on wasteland below the road that leads to the Malvinas Argentina International Airport for almost 10 years and then this became a building site and it became inaccessible
In November 2024 lometogo left a replacement cache (a ziplock bag with log paper) nearby at the fence around the parking at the 1st pole from the corner in the right hand corner looking towards the mountians and I have updated the co-ordinates. Without this kind intervention there would be one less cache in this remote but beautiful part of the world. The cache site is still around 28 metres above sea level and has excellent views over the city of Ushuaia but some of the photos are no longer relevant.
Alas this container went missing and I am grateful to TmGrandemotte for putting a sealed bag in place in March 2025 to keep the cache going a little longer
I AM VERY GRATEFUL to the following people for helping to keep the cache going:-
KARIHER and PERROCASTOR for both agreeing to act as "local assistants" to help me keep this cache maintained should this become necessary and thus enabling it to be listed However, as neither of them is really a 'local' I have had to ask / rely on others to keep the cache going, including
"PATRONEMAX" for placing a log sheet in a polybag to keep the cache going when it disappeared in October 2017
"GEO KISSALA" (Leo & Jaana) for putting a proper replacement box in situ in February 2018
LEJ777 for doing so again in October 2018. Alas by 8 January 2019 this too had disappeared and there was only a log sheet inside a double ziplock bag left at GZ
AZIMUTH55 & XANTOPHILA for putting in fresh sheets of paper to replace wet logs
RIKSMANN who replaced the plastic ziplock bag with a more permanent makeshift container.
"STORM_HELLSCREAM" put a proper container and log book in place in June 2019 - almost Midwinter's Day down there!
TDREX (Tom) for putting a metal biscuit box in place in December 2019
Alas all this seems to have disappeared sometime over Christmas 2022 and I am extremely grateful to ROUTE66WK for putting a new cache container & log in place in January 2023 and for CHRINIL for adding extra protection in the form of a plastic bag.
Then in March 2023 COMETCOACH (MIKE) put a clear waterproof bottle / medication jar in place together with a log & a few pieces of swag.
Around 6 months later YAMI828 was passing and noticed the hide that they had found 12 months earlier was empty, so they put something new in situ for people to find. So maybe there were then 2 caches?!
However, in 2024 things changed really dramatically with lots of new building work where the original cache was sited. Thanks to LOMETOGO and CUXINE a new site was found and the cache continues for adventurers to find.
MY GRATEFUL THANKS TO ALL THESE KIND PEOPLE. OUR GAME WOULD BE FAR LESS FUN IF IT WERE NOT FOR WHITE KNIGHTS OF GEOCACHING SUCH AS THESE KEEPING CACHES ALIVE IN FAR-FLUNG CORNERS OF THE WORLD. I AM REALLY VERY GRATEFUL FOR ALL YOUR HELP .
Also pleased to see from the photos that the place still looks fabulous
