The section of US Highway 59 extending north from Houston to Humble has been called the "Eastex Freeway" since before George Blanda started playing football for the Houston Oilers (1960). Eastex is short for east Texas which is a frequent destination for Houstonians traveling north on US 59. The cache location is a very convenient stop for all travelers on Highway 59 going in either direction. Hopefully, this will make for a steady transfer of travel bugs. Additional waypoints show two entry points for entering a two way road thar goes by the cache. There is a spot to pull over on the road to park as shown by the parking waypoint.
Expect to be attacked by mosquitos in warm weather. There is a trail into the woods near the light post. The cache is an ammo can at the base of a tree that forks into two trunks. The tree has a white spot painted on it. The cache is covered by black plastic to keep it hidden from muggles. Please place the plastic back over the cache before leaving. Congratulations to pet1007 and mspatt for being coFTFs.
