Established at the beginning of 2010, GLA JBay became the first high school to open its doors in Jeffreys Bay. Starting with only grades 8 to 10 in its first year, the school opened up in the Equinox Mall where it still operates in 2015.
Towards the end of 2010 a 7 Ha property was donated to the school and plans began to develop to build a school of their own.
The new school is being built with the help of volunteers as well as the students that offer up their free time after school.
The cache is placed along a gravel road that passes the new premises.
From here one can see the progress as the school starts to take shape. There are also distant sea views across most of Jeffreys Bay, Aston Bay and Paradise beach.
