This cache is named in response to a recent encounter with a beast while we were placing this cache.
Snaproll and Moosetracks were finding and placing caches around this area. After claiming a nearby smiley, we saw a cute dog just chilling out in the middle of the road in front of the car. Awww, we love dogs!...This dog apparently did not love us. As we tried to drive away to the next cache, the dog transformed into a demonic beast, barking, growling, and snarling at us as we tried to pass. He stood in the middle of the road and chased the car every time we tried to go around him. He even started gnawing on the geovehicle's tires!! While Moosetracks couldn't stop laughing and suggested to toss some leftover fast food out the window, Snaproll eventually was able to (safely) gun it and leave a smoking trail behind us, with the dog disappearing into the dusty distance. Ah, all part of geocaching, right?
Don't worry - the dog doesn't live near this GZ! Otherwise the difficulty would be a 5!
Congrats to BuckeyeFinnigan for the FTF!
