 Valdieri (774 m s.l.m.)
è un comune italiano di 958 abitanti della Val Gesso, Provincia di Cuneo, in Piemonte.
Valdieri è il centro principale della valle, si trova sulla sinistra orografica del torrente Gesso.
Il suo nome deriva dal termine tedesco Wald, bosco o selva. La forma è influenzata dal provenzale "Vaudier" e dal piemontese "vauda" che significa luogo elevato e boscoso. Il termine non indicherebbe tanto l'area boschiva, quanto piuttosto, i "valdieri", cioe gli addetti al bosco.
Valdieri fa parte della comunità montana delle Alpi del Mare e comprende parte del Parco delle Alpi Marittime. Andonno, frazione di Valdieri, è un'importante meta per scalatori: infatti vi è una delle più grandi falesie del paese, dove è stato aperto il primo 8c+ d'Italia.
Accesso e Durata: Puoi raggiungere il cache in una decina di minuti scegliendo dalla piazza centrale di Valdieri più o meno la linea retta. In bocca al lupo!
Coordinate: Vista la posizione sottostante la parete di roccia e la parziale copertura del nascondiglio, le coordinate saranno sicuramente poco precise, come lo sarà del resto la ricezione del vostro gps. Portatevi quindi in zona e seguite l'hint.
Una volta trovato il tesoro, godetevi la location un po' mistica o semplicemente la vista sulla Valle Gesso.

is an Italian town of 958 inhabitants of Val Gesso, in the Province of Cuneo, Piedmont.
Valdieri is the main town of the valley and is situated on the left bank of the river Gesso. With Her name comes from the German word Wald, meaning wood or forest. It is influenced by the Provençal word "Vaudier" and the Piedmontese "Vauda" meaning highwodded place. The term does not indicate much the wooded area, but rather, the "valdieri", that the lumbermen.
Valdieri is part of the mountain community of the Maritime Alps, and includes part of the Maritime Alps Park. Andonno, disctrict of Valdieri, is an important climbers site: in fact there is one of the biggest climbing walls of the country, where it was opened the first 8c + in Italy.
Access and Duration: You can reach the cache in about ten minutes from the central square of Valdieri by choosing more or less straight line. Good luck!
Coordinates: Due to the high rock wall and since the hiding spot is covered, the coordinates won't be much precise, as also your gps reception won't be. Please help yourself with the hint once you're near to the spot.
