The cache is placed in a fairly quiet road close to Whitchurch Common.
The Common was lined by an Avenue of Poplar trees planted on behalf of the 42nd. Evacuation Unit of the United States Army in recognition of the hospitality shown to them by the Whitchurch Parishoners during WW2. Today only 4 of the original trees remain.
