Neidpath Hill stands guard and looks down on the River Tweed as it passes by below. There are fine views up the Tweed Valley and across to the Three Brethren - reward, if it were needed, for the effort in getting up here.
The summit of the hill is close to the waymarked Meigle Circular route. These paths form part of the network of waymarked trails around Galashiels. Not all of them are shown on OS maps, but there are excellent booklets with maps available at tourist offices and they're also freely downloadable from Scottish Borders Council's website as PDF files. A series of them covers the entire region - highly recommended.
