C.F. 11 - Lost and Alone Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wiser than Owls: It’s time for these to go as the area is vastly different now due to urban expansion. The containers have been collected. I look forward to other geocachers placing appropriate caches in the area.

Geocache Description:

This Series is to celebrate The Melbourne Event 2015 which will be held in the City of Casey. It will be Victoria’s Largest and very first MEGA event. The Event at Casey fields will be a little different to other MEGA events in that it will be run over 2 days and will involve many sessions with something for everybody from tutorials on GSAK, project GC and creative hides to In the field training on kayaks and Wherigo creation and MUCH more. We hope you can attend our BIG event.

Once upon a time, there was a little rabbit. One day he wandered away from his family and became lost and alone in the wide, wide world.

He wandered from tree to bush to river looking for his family. He started to cry because he was so lost and alone. Eventually a crow flew down and landed near him. The crow asked, "What's wrong little rabbit, you look very sad?" The rabbit answered, "I am lost and alone and I don't know what to do!"

"I think I can help you out" said the crow. "What I'll do is, I'll fly up really high and fly all around this area. Your legs are pretty short, I am sure you can't have wondered too far from your family before you became lost and alone. I think I'll be able to track them down." and with that the crow flew away.

At first the little rabbit was hopeful the crow would find his family quickly and he wouldn't be lost and alone for much longer, but the crow didn't return quickly. After a while the little rabbit became dejected again. He would be lost and alone for ever! Soon he was crying again. Being lost and alone was not his idea of a good time.

Just as it was starting to get dark, the crow returned and he had good news. "I have found your family" he crowed. "You managed to hop a fair way little rabbit. You have to hop to the south west and keep hopping until you get home!" The little rabbit thanked the crow and started hopping right away. He didn't want to be lost and alone any more. Eventually the landscape started looking more familiar and the little rabbit was home.

He lived for the rest of his life with his family, having many little rabbits of his own. He was always very careful never to become lost and alone again and he lived happily ever after.
