Attend this official 2015 annual Cache In Trash Out weekend event to earn a souvenir and a more beautiful Maryland!
Geocaching vets and noobs, muggle friends and family, curious neighbors and pets, and any other volunteers are welcome to join us!
We're gathering at the two listed parking lots to clean up trash in and around the off-leash area, meet new cachers and canines, and share caching stories. There's also a restroom, doggie water fountains, trash bins, and a dumpster in the area.
Let's help friends, family, neighbors, pets, and wildlife from annoying and potentially dangerous shattered glass bottles, rusted cans, cigarettes, forgotten toys, and other waste.
All attendees must bring a Howard County Recreation & Parks volunteer form to this event. This form also exempts volunteers from the $5 park fee. Please send us a message via our profile with your email address so we can email you the form.
Howard County Recreation and Parks will provide gloves and trash bags, but please bring your own water and any other supplies you might need for one hour that'll make a huge difference for our community.
If you want to bring your dog(s), please bring one of the following for each dog: a rabies dog tag, a rabies certificate, or a county dog license.
If there's rain or other inclement weather that might dampen your volunteer spirit, please consider buddying up with other attendees so one person can hold an umbrella while the other picks up litter.
Finally, please remember to sign the log before you leave the CITO or you won't get credit for this event. We'll have the log and a pen on us during the event. If you haven't met us before, our photo is on our profile, and I (Gally) have a Travel Bug tattoo on my right forearm, so just keep an eye out for us. Feel free to discover me, but please don't take a photo of the tracking code.
