A cache on the romantically named Newent Footpath 71 which runs from Newent Arboretum, over two fields to Boulsdon Lane. It's a a favourite route of mine to walk the dog (note that sheep are sometimes found in the fields), and on a quiet day you can almost forget that the busy town of Newent is only a stones throw away. It also has some great views of May Hill as you approach the gz. It should be relatively muggle free apart from the odd dog walker (which may include the co !). From the gz if you so wish you can continue your walk on the many footpaths in this area and enjoy the beautiful countryside.
The cache is a small container with log book only, so bring a pen or pencil. It's not suitable for a cache and dash as Boulsdon Lane is quite narrow with no parking spaces. I would recommend walking from the Arboretum (and picking up the Millenium Celebration cache on the way !).
