One of two good caches to visit at Mon Choicy beach. This one is placed in coorporation with the owner of the hiding place. The cache is a plastic box big enough to hide a few TB's. It is hidden in the stand and the owner is well informed about geocaching and has agreed to do maintainance and look after this cache. The reason is simple, during the weekends the beach is crawling with local people likely to muggle the cache if they find it. Simply approach the owner and ask for the cache. You do NOT have to feel committed to buy anything. He will hand it to you and take it back when you have logged it.
The facilities may look simple and homemade. Do not let the simple facilities fool you. The excitement about the everyday Mauritius life itself is worth visiting. We have been eating food from the vendors at the beach for several months, during our stays at Mauritius. And the truth is that we never suffered from any stomach trouble.
The food and service is of high quality !
Also we need to throw in a good word for the local people working hard everyday to keep the beach clean and tidy. Very good service, nice people and simply worth the visit.
