Come out and meet with other cachers and enjoy the outdoors. Look for the Geocaching banner The Capital City Geocaching Event will start around the "Noon" hour, and end around 4ish. This will be a Potluck lunch. BBQ pulled pork and hot dogs will be provided ;-) A head count will help us get a good idea of how much food will be needed. Please log a note to say if you are coming and what you are bringing, so we don't get all the same thing.
There will be games and prizes. Poker run, GPS toss, log roll. Door prizes, and we will be giving away a new Gramin Etrex 20, I recently made a large purchase from Cache Advance acquiring more prizes. Cache Advance will also have a booth selling trackables, Containers, and lots of other Geocahing goodies.
We will finalizing the 2014 Travelbug race and starting a new one. prizes awarded for the furthest traveled and the most caches visited.
Travel Bug Race Rules
This is an “honor system” race of Travel Bugs among friends and fellow cachers.
You may enter up to two TB’s per person.
Geocoins may be entered also. (enter up to 2 TB’s or 2 Coins or 1 TB and 1 Coin)
All TB’s must be trackable @ www.geocaching.com, The TB/Coin used to race must have Zero miles and must be dropped in the event.
All Travel Bugs must be registered by June 20th (at the event)
The TB’s may only be moved once per cacher.
Participants of this Race may not move or impede the progress of any competitor’s bugs.
All decisions will be made by the Capital City Cachers TB Race Committee.
All TB’s/Geocoins must be present and “Check In” at the Event. .
