Geocache Description:

Another country cemetery in Clarke County.

5/22/17 - Doing some cache maintenance today and this was one we stopped at. Cache was missing. Replaced with a bison tube.

Located in Fremont twp., Sec. 34, in Clarke County, Iowa.

To reach Union Chapel cemetery: From highway 69 north of Osceola to H28 (second gravel right), turn east and drive .4 mile, then turn south .2 mile, then turn back east again and drive about .4 mile to first road north. This drive leads into the cemetery at the top of a little hill.

This cemetery is also known as Harlan Cemetery.

There are some very old stones in this cemetery.

Please be respectful of the area and only hunt cache in daylight hours.

While placing caches in Clarke County we encountered many dead end roads and lots of them that are level B roads – this means there is NO gravel on them – they are mud after it rains. If you get stuck, the farmers will not pull you out – you will have to call a tow truck. Please be aware of this and use caution when hunting these caches.
